What is Leeds Christmas Market?

Leeds Christmas Market is a full-on-festive experience set in the heart of Leeds City Square.

With over 60 local makers, food vendors & retailers in our Trader Village, expect to find delicious bites & truly unique gifts that anyone would love to open!

And when you’re finished shopping? Soak up the atmosphere with a festive tipple in THOR’S Highland Lodge or Folie Alpine Ski Bar.

The market is located in City Square, directly outside Leeds Train Station, making it easy to access from across the city and beyond.

Yes, entry to Leeds Christmas Market is completely free.

How do I get there?

• By train: Leeds Station is directly next to City Square

Is there entertainment?

Yes! There’ll be free live music, market-wide performances every Sunday, festive venues like THOR’S Highland Lodge & Folie Alpine Ski Bar and plenty of social spaces where you can relax and soak up the atmosphere.

Is it suitable for families?

Absolutely. Leeds Christmas Market is family-friendly, with nearby attractions and activities suitable for all ages. More information will be coming soon on family activities!

When is the best time to visit?
For a quieter experience, visit during weekday mornings or early afternoons. Evenings and weekends are typically the busiest times.

How long should I spend at the market?

How long have you got! This year Leeds Christmas Market is bigger & better than ever - with a full lineup of free live music, DJ sets, performances every Sunday, Santa visits, craft workshops and more…you’ll never want to leave!

Is the market indoors or outdoors?

The market is primarily outdoors, so we recommend dressing warmly. If you’re feeling the chill, why not head to our festive bars or heated Snow Globe pods?

Dogs are very welcome, but we recommend keeping them on a lead due to crowds.

We’re working closely with Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Police and LeedsWatch, including Project Servator, to help keep everyone safe at the market.

Yes, absolutely!

Both THOR’S Highland Lodge and Folie Alpine Ski Bar are family-friendly venues.

We do ask that anyone under 18 must is accompanied by an adult whilst inside our bars.

We love walk-ins!

We’re not taking bookings at THOR’S Highland Lodge or Folie Alpine Ski Bar, all you need to do is rally the troops & rock up!

We do offer bookable, heated Snow Globe pods next to Folie, for up to 10 guests.

Both of our festive bars are cashless!

Most traders will accept card payments, but we’d recommend carrying some cash just incase!

City Square is step-free and centrally located, making it accessible for most visitors. Please be aware that it can become busy during peak times.

Toilets will be available outside THOR’S Highland Lodge & Folie Alpine Ski Bar.
